I awoke to snow in the valley and the rumours persist of an early opening for the mountain. Judging by the amount of snow we already have I think we can expect a soft opening for the 19th or 20th. Dust off those skis and let’s get ready to go!

This past week also saw two purchases of 1 bedroom suites in the Westin hotel at good prices. Unit 361 sold for $203,000.00 and unit 550 for $210,000.00. For those of you who don’t know, the Westin is one of my favourites of the phase II properties. Great location and amenities and a proven revenue generator. Two points to note – Lenders will want 50% down on any phase II property and the Westin is in demand, so if you do wish to purchase here I would recommend having a purchase contract already completed and financing in place.
