early than expected and riders were greeted to sunshine and great
conditions. Access for Whistler is available from both the Village gondola and Creekside gondola. Blackcomb
Mountain will open as scheduled on November 28 and with it the Peak 2 Peak
The local real estate market continues to move towards a balanced market with only 487 active chalets, condos, duplexes, townhomes and vacant land listings available to purchase and it is very likely that the New Year will start seeing prices start to move up from current levels. Now marks one of the best opportunities that sellers have seen since 2008 to achieve better sale prices. For those looking to buy into the Whistler market, my advice is to do so sooner than later.
This past week saw 14 new listings, 9 price changes and 12 sold listings compared to 13 new listings, 9 price changes and 14 sales from the previous week. Sales consisted of 2 chalets at $1.6M and $2.3M, 4 condos between $65,000 and $285,000, 1 duplex for $1.7M and 5 townhomes between $210,000 and $895,000.
