Happy Thursday everyone,
I trust this finds you enjoying your week so far, and looking forward to the weekend! I hope all is well with you.
Whistler is well underway to enjoying Canada’s 145th Birthday on Sunday. Events that are already underway are the 2nd Annual cultural festival on Main Street and the “Canadian Carnival” working some fun into the crowd throughout the village. There should be some great festivities to be had everyone. Needless to say there will be a good number of people in town, which will make for some good open houses if I can find a spot that is not full!
The Tough Mudder event last week was a huge success and rumours abound that this will not be the last race in Whistler. I spoke with a friend yesterday who was part of a municipal team that was auditioning buskers for this summer in Whistler – I like to hear of this sort of thinking here in the village and look forward to seeing the finalists on the village stroll soon.
I am a little tardy in my update this week as I had the opportunity to attend a sales training course offered by Richard Robbins. I always enjoy these, as there is always something you can take with you and Richard provided some wonderful tips and stories. Great stuff!
As so, I am going to give the past 2 weeks stats below to make up for a few lost days:
This past 2 weeks brought 35 new listings, 30 Price changes and 23 Sold. Overall we are continuing to see prices decline with more inventory coming to market. The difference we have been seeing for the past few months is that inventory is being bought at a decent pace returning us a more balanced market. Still I feel we are seeing the lower pricing for some time to come with interest rates staying low too. When asked “how’s the market” let’s not get too complicated – with the right negotiation and conditions, it’s still a Buyer’s market.
Please click here to view the past 2 week’s new listings, price changes and completed sales as reported by the Whistler Listing System.
One thing I took away from the Richard Robbins seminar was providing the best service possible to my clients and the importance of referrals for my business; As always I would appreciate being thought of if you have friends or family who would like more information on these or other Whistler opportunities. It would please me to be of assistance.
Enjoy the day!
