Hello from Whistler and I hope this finds you relaxed after the Father's Day weekend with the opportunity to spend time catching up with family. For those of you here in Whistler yesterday afternoon, you would have been treated to one of the closer thunderstorms we have had this season. Fears of fire from lightning strikes were quickly put out... by a 10 minute downpour. An exciting afternoon in our rainforest in the mountains!
I have just posted this past week’s new listings, price changes and completed sales at nickswinburne.com. Click here to view.
The local real estate market is continuing to move at a steady pace and we may see sales increase this month over past months. This past week saw 15 new listings come to market. This is down from the previous week of 26. There were 11 price changes and 8 completed sales, which matched the respective numbers from the previous week.
We saw 3 single family homes reached completed sales last week and they ranged in price from $620,000 (court ordered sale) to $962,000. We had a phase II 1 bedroom condo sell in the Pan Pacific for $220,000. Great location will always make this building a fair phase II purchase. 3 other condos sold in Whistler last week for $316,000 to $350,000. The lone townhouse sale was in Northern Lights and sold for $1.5m.
If you have any questions on these or other listings, please contact me to discuss.
All the best for the week ahead. Please look forward to my May in review blog in the next day or 2.
