Whistler market update for Feb. 7

Blog by Nick Swinburne | February 7th, 2012

This week’s Whistler market update is greeting you from Hakuba, Japan.   Hakuba is about 300kms northwest of Tokyo and is situated in an area known as the Japanese Alps.  The area has 10 ski resorts offer over 200 runs on diverse terrain for both skiers and boarders alike.  The local population are very welcoming and what is lacking in translation is easily made up with gestures and much laughter.  Conditions at the moment are mild but the area typically boasts a large amount of snowfall during the season.  Meanwhile Whistler is also experiencing a mild trend with light snowfall continuing into the weekend.

This past week we had 24 new listings, 8 Sales and 18 price reductions in the Whistler market compared to 24 new listings, 10 Sales and 21 Price reductions last week.

Please go ahead and click here to view the past week's new listings and price changes as reported by the Whistler Listing System.  Please contact me directly for current sales.

If you have family or friends looking into the Whistler market, please feel free to forward this email to them.  Lisa and I are always happy to answer any questions and would welcome the opportunity to earn your business.   Although I do have internet and email access while in Japan, you may also contact Lisa at lashcroft@sutton.com if you would like to schedule a property viewing before my return to Whistler on February 19th.
