Hello from Whistler, we were treated to some slushy snow the other morning in Creekside and areas south. It's great to watch the snow line making it's way down the mountains.
We currently have 495 active chalet, condo, duplex, townhouse and vacant land listings in Whistler. In terms of how our current level of inventory has trended over the past few years, I have included a graph below:
Heightened Buyer activity with some potential sellers holding off for the market to continue to improve, means our current inventory is very close to what we had available in Feburary 2008. Median sale price at that time was $680,000. This compares to September 2013 which saw a $720,000 median sale pice.
This past week brought 17 new listings to market, 5 price changes and 10 firm sales. Sales consisted of 3 chalets ranging in sale price from $1,340,000 to $3,800,000 for a beautiful property in the Nicklaus North Green Lake Estates area. We had 4 condos sell between $130,000 up to $369,000 for a Hilton Whistler unit, one 1/4 share at Legends for $89k and 2 townhomes sell between $319,000 and $716,000.
